What is a Live News Feed?

Live news feed is a term used for video streams of television news broadcasts that are provided as streaming media by various networks and news channels. These streams may be available on the networks’ websites, or through smart televisions, digital media players that support streaming content (e.g., Roku), and subscription video on demand services such as Hulu. Some international news channels, such as Al Jazeera in English, CCTV in Chinese, and Indus News in English, also provide live news streams on their own website, YouTube channel, or through other third-party services.

News stories should take advantage of the visual nature of video. For example, a picture of a fire or other natural disaster will resonate with viewers who cannot physically experience it. All news articles should have at least one accompanying image, and preferably several, to grab reader attention and add context to the story.
