TheoBio2023 will be held at the “Grand Hotel San Michele” a charming hotel in Cetraro (CS), a small village on the Tyrrhenian coastline with beautiful landscape, sand and rock beaches located at about 60 Km from Cosenza city.

How to reach Cetraro

By PLANE+TRAIN

If you fly to Rome Airports (or Naples), we suggest you to take a train to reach PAOLA, the closest railway station to Cetraro. Many trains a day connect “Roma Termini” station to PAOLA, and the travel time with “high speed Frecce trains (FrecciaRossa or Frecciargento) is about 3h 30’. You can also search for “Fiumicino Aeroporto-Paola” connection on the website to have the best solution directly from FCO Airport. We believe that it is by far the easiest way to arrive from Rome or Naples.

Alternatively, from PAOLA station there is a local train that stops in Cetraro.

People coming by plane from abroad can arrive to the main Italian airports in Milan or Rome (or even Bologna, Pisa and Torino) and then take a connecting domestic flight to Lamezia Terme (airport code SUF).

It is worth mentioning that during Summer, direct flights to Lamezia from London (Stansted), Vienna, Zurich, Bruxelles Charleroi, Paris Orly, Salzburg and many German airports are scheduled. Please check here the list of connections to/from Lamezia Terme available for summer 2023.

Alternatively, from Lamezia Airport you can reach Lamezia Terme Centrale Station and then take a train to Cetraro (through PAOLA station). Search here for LAMEZIA TERME AEROPORTO-CETRARO connections.

By CAR

People wishing to arrive by car can reach Cetraro following the main motorway called Mediterranean motorway, A2.

People wishing to rent a car at the Lamezia airport, should drive in the “Salerno” direction, take the exit “Falerna” and drive along SS18. The Hotel is about 1h 30′ driving from the Lamezia airport.

People arriving from Rome or Naples should drive in the direction “Reggio Calabria”. (Travel Time by car: 5h and 3h approx driving from Rome FCO and Naples NAP respectively). Exit at LAGONEGRO, then go on along the main road following the indication PRAIA A MARE. Once in PRAIA A MARE do not enter the village, just go along the same main road which follows the coast and exit when finding the indication: GRAND HOTEL S. MICHELE.
